The quality of that particular rocket was amazing... it lasted at least 4 years before I needed to purchase another one (I am a pediatric PT and this was the one toy my patients asked for constantly). I actually bought 2 at the same time to replace the old one since it had been so popular with my patients.I was so excited to receive my new one, however I saw problems immediately after opening the box. The way the manufacturer packages the rocket is very thoughtless... the tubing is kinked in 2 places. This is a major problem, because it does not allow the air to flow through to the actual rocket, so when the child steps on the rocket, it doesn't go very high because the air doesn't travel through the tubing easily. It is not fun to have a rocket that only flies ~3 feet in the air. Note: i tried to "squish" the area that was kinked, in attempts to allow the air to flow through better, howeverthe... The box claims that the rocket can rise up to 60 feet in height. When he tried it by stomping on the pump, the rocket barely got into the air. He tried several times, with little success. Even when I tried it, the rocket perhaps got 10 feet in the air at best, even after I brought a wood board out to see if a hard surface would make it work better. This was a *total* disappointment for my son, who was hoping that he could actually get the rocket and flyer to actually fly. We wish we could return this somewhere, although I don't think it is sold in stores.
